MIRA Harley Davison Raffle
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., May 14, 2005 -- The Mental Illness Research Association (MIRA) will host a Harley Davison raffle at the ABC Harley dealership in Waterford, MI. Drawing time is 6:30 PM. MIRA holds several events throughout the year to raise money for research grants relating to brain disease, community education for the understanding of the physical basis of mental illness and honoring those who help to foster awareness of mental illness. “We look forward to this event every year to award grants to those who are seeking to provide cures for many of the brain diseases that contribute to mental illness,” said MIRA President Mary Jean Teachman. “It is great to be able to help these dedicated researchers and to enjoy ourselves at the same time.” For ticket information, please call the MIRA office at 800-896-MIRA (6472).
MIRA, a Southeastern Michigan
non-profit organization, was created in 1993 to advance medical treatments and
cures for mental illnesses through private sector fundraising; to encourage
researchers through recognition and support; and to erase the stigma of mental
illnesses by fostering an awareness of their physical basis. Visit the new MIRA website at:
