Thank you for visiting the MIRA web site. MIRA is dedicated to advancing medical treatments and cures for mental illnesses through private sector fundraising for brain research.

As a non-profit organization, MIRA depends solely on donations from individuals and companies to fund vital brain research projects and to expand our education programs.

Many individuals have supported MIRA since 1993 through personal donations, attendance at MIRA events, and with gifts. Working together, we are making a difference in the lives of those touched with mental illness by funding research necessary in finding effective treatments and cures. By helping our community to understand that mental illnesses are real physical diseases, we raise the awareness of more and more people about these issues, we are moving to erase the stigma that has long accompanied these diseases.
