David J. Olen

Lecture Series

The David J. Olen Lecture series was hosted by MIRA and Havenwyck Hospital to honor the memory of David J. Olen, MD.  A cofounder of MIRA, he served as Medical Director and Executive Vice President from MIRA’s inception in 1992 until his death in December of 2002.

One of a small group of physicians certified as competent in clinical psychopharmacology by the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, Dr. Olen was board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. 

This lecture series, sponsored by Novartis, was directed to mental health professionals including physicians, health care administrators and nursing staff. It  provided new insights into mental health care and treatments.
