MIRA Board
MIRA's affairs are directed by a Board of Directors comprised on persons who are elected to three year terms of office. Directors whose terms expire are eligible for re-election to news terms of office subject to majority approval of the sitting board. MIRA directors take an active role in the organization through regular attendance at board meetings and enthusiastic participation consistent with their training, expertise and particular talents. An Executive Commitee, comprised of MIRA's elected officers and up to five additional board members appointed by the MIRA President, meet quarterly to consider and decide matters which affect MIRA's goals and direction. MIRA's Board of Advisors consists of persons who have a keen interest in MIRA's mission. The purpose of the advisory board is to provide direction to the MIRA Board of Directors. These advisors are updated at an annual meeting on MIRA's financial condition, fundraising activities, research grants and educational programs. The review and comments of MIRA's Board of Advisors is highly valued. |
