Angela Weaver

Angela WeaverAngela Weaver attended college at the University of Detroit where she majored in Communication Arts. From the time she was a young teen-ager Angela modeled for Hudson’s and other major department stores and later was featured in magazine ads and television commercials. In 1957, marriage and children replaced that career.

After her marriage to Joe Weaver, she worked as a silent partner with her husband in his ongoing commitment to public service. As a founding member of MIRA, Angela has helped to lead the fight against brain-related disease. Angela has long maintained that the many social ills her husband addressed during his years as Editorial Director at WJBK-TV are predominantly rooted in some form of mental illness.

Residents of Grosse Pointe Shores, Angela and Joe have also been partners in guiding the lives of eight children and thirteen grandchildren.

Angela has also been busy working on a draft of poems which focus on her childhood and family of origin.
