Susan M. Schwerin

Susan Schwerin has been a staff member with MIRA's for over 17 years and has been actively involved in the day to day functions, event planning and committee interactions since it's inception.  Currently, she serves as the Executive Administrator.

Prior to her employment with MIRA, she worked for Guest House, (another non-profit organization), in the Development department. While there, she gained vast knowledge of the activities associated with fund-raising and public relations. Before her work in the non-profit arena, Susan worked for an insurance company as the office manager of a small agency.   Because of her diverse background in communications and fundraising, it seems a perfect match with her involvement with MIRA.

Susan graduated from Avondale High School in Auburn Hills, and attended Eastern Michigan University, majoring in secondary education and English Literature. She has resided in the Lake Orion area with her husband Bob (married for 41 years) and is the proud mother of 2 grown children, her son Shawn (married to Sherri), and daughter Nicole.  One of the greatest joys in her life is being the grandmother of Ryan Patrick and Katelyn Marie.
